# Aspire Fluffi, Mini or Pro, which version suits which draw

> Aspire Fluffi, Fluffi Mini or Fluffi Pro? The three devices compared from Aspire's own pages, pods from 0.4 to 1 ohm and settings for MTL or RDL.

The **Aspire Fluffi** name now covers three devices, and the three names cross over from one listing to the next. The original Fluffi, the Fluffi Mini and the Fluffi Pro share the same basic pod, but not the same battery, display or wattage range. The Pro also takes pods that the other two cannot make proper use of. Whether you want a tight mouth-to-lung draw or something airier, the choice comes in two steps, the device first and then the pod resistance.

## Which Aspire Fluffi to choose, the short answer

For a tight draw with fine control, the original Fluffi is still the most complete of the compact models, with its screen and wattage adjustable from 5 to 20 W. The Fluffi Mini goes for simplicity, with three power levels and two indicator lights instead of a screen. The Fluffi Pro is the only one that reaches 40 W, which opens it up to the Dual Mesh pods designed for a more direct draw.

On all three, the 1 ohm pod is the one Aspire pairs with MTL, and the 0.6 ohm pod is the one that loosens the draw towards RDL. A vaper who only wants a tight draw has no need for the Pro.

## The three Aspire Fluffi devices compared

The table draws on the product pages Aspire publishes for each device. A cell marked "not published" flags a figure the brand does not give on its page.

| | Fluffi | Fluffi Mini | Fluffi Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dimensions | 108 x 31 x 23 mm | 99 x 29 x 23 mm | 107.6 x 33 x 23.5 mm |
| Built-in battery | 1500 mAh | 1100 mAh | 2800 mAh |
| Output | 5 to 20 W | 3 levels, wattage not published | 11 to 40 W |
| Display | 0.69 inch OLED screen | two indicator lights | 1.47 inch colour TFT screen |
| Filling | front fill | front fill | side fill |
| Airflow | adjustable, on the front | adjustable, on the front | adjustable, on the side |
| Charging | USB-C, 2 A | USB-C, 2 A | USB-C, 2 A |

The original Fluffi's screen shows the wattage, the coil resistance, the voltage and the battery level. The Mini swaps the screen for an RGB light that shows the device status and a second light that shows the selected power level. The Pro keeps a screen, larger and in colour.

In terms of size, the Mini is nine millimetres shorter than the Fluffi and gives up part of its battery along the way. The Pro, almost as tall as the Fluffi, mainly grows in width to house its 2800 mAh cell.

## Fluffi pods, two families and four resistances

Every Fluffi pod has a built-in coil that cannot be replaced. When the coil wears out, the whole pod goes. Aspire publishes two families, the single mesh pods supplied with all three devices and the Dual Mesh pods, which only appear on the Pro's page.

### The 1 ohm pod for a tight draw

This is the MTL pod according to Aspire. The brand does not quote the same range from one page to the next, though, with 9 to 11 W on the Fluffi page and 11 to 13 W on the Mini and Pro pages. On a first fill, aiming for the bottom of the range the pages share, around 11 W, avoids pushing a fresh wick too hard.

### The 0.6 ohm mesh pod for an airier draw

Aspire recommends it at 14 to 18 W on all three pages and files it under RDL, a restricted draw that is already fairly open. The Fluffi Mini review published by Vaping Post describes an airflow slider that runs from a very tight indirect draw to a restricted direct one.

### Dual Mesh pods, in practice a Pro option

The Pro's page adds a 0.6 ohm Dual Mesh pod rated at 17 to 24 W and a 0.4 ohm Dual Mesh pod rated at 30 to 40 W, the latter filed under direct-to-lung. The Fluffi tops out at 20 W, below the 0.4 ohm range, and Aspire lists the Dual Mesh pods on neither the Fluffi page nor the Mini page. The **Fluffi Pro** is therefore the only device in the range the brand declares them compatible with.

| Pod | Resistance | Wattage quoted by Aspire | Draw | Devices named by Aspire |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mesh | 1.0 ohm | 9 to 11 W or 11 to 13 W depending on the page | MTL | Fluffi, Mini, Pro |
| Mesh | 0.6 ohm | 14 to 18 W | RDL | Fluffi, Mini, Pro |
| Dual Mesh | 0.6 ohm | 17 to 24 W | RDL | Pro |
| Dual Mesh | 0.4 ohm | 30 to 40 W | direct | Pro |

Pods with a built-in coil sold in several resistances are common to other brands too. Our [guide to which Vaporesso pod fits which device](/uk/vaporesso-cartridge-compatibility/) follows the same method, starting from the device rather than the product code.

## Setting up an Aspire Fluffi for mouth-to-lung vaping

All three devices offer the same firing modes, but not the same gesture to switch between them. After that, the draw is tuned with two controls, the wattage and the airflow.

### Choosing the firing mode

Aspire names the modes A, B and AB. Mode A fires on inhale, mode B fires on the button, and mode AB accepts both. On the original Fluffi, three quick presses of the fire button open the mode menu, whereas the Pro switches modes with a double press. The Mini also works by inhaling or by pressing the button.

### Setting the wattage and the airflow

With a 1 ohm pod, start at the bottom of the recommended range and close the airflow slider almost completely. Then open the airflow in small steps before touching the wattage, as the airflow changes the feel of the draw most clearly. On the Mini, the three Low, Mid and High levels replace watt-by-watt adjustment, and the lower light shows which one is active.

A tight draw and moderate wattage go hand in hand with an e-liquid higher in PG, which is thinner and soaks into a 1 ohm coil easily. Our [guide to the Vaporesso Luxe X versions](/uk/vaporesso-luxe-x-versions/) applies the same reasoning to another versatile pod device.

## Filling a Fluffi pod without flooding it

Aspire quotes 3.5 ml for the standard version of its pods and 2 ml for the TPD version. In the UK, refillable pods and tanks are limited to 2 ml, so the 2 ml TPD version is the one that applies here.

On the Fluffi and the Mini, the pod fills from the front once the silicone flap is lifted. The Pro fills from the side. The Fluffi review published by Oneshot Media advises filling only three quarters of the way, then waiting at least five minutes before taking a puff, so the cotton has time to soak. A new pod that tastes burnt from the first puffs may have been fired too early or too hard.

## FAQ

Five questions that come up before choosing between the Fluffi devices.

### Does the Fluffi Mini take the original Fluffi pods?

Yes. Aspire states on the Mini's page that it is compatible with the Fluffi pod. It also comes with the same 0.6 and 1 ohm values.

### Can you replace the coil in a Fluffi pod?

No. Aspire describes the coil as non-replaceable on all three pages. When the flavour fades, the whole pod is replaced.

### Does the Fluffi Pro accept the older pods?

Yes. Its page states that it works with every Fluffi pod, the 0.6 and 1 ohm mesh pods as well as the 0.4 and 0.6 ohm Dual Mesh pods.

### What safety features do Fluffi devices have?

Aspire's ASP chip cuts the power on an overly long puff, a short circuit, overheating or low voltage. On the Mini, Aspire sets the cut-off at 6 seconds of continuous firing.

### How do you charge a Fluffi?

Through a USB-C port, with a 2 A charging current on all three models. Aspire quotes a full charge in 45 minutes for the original Fluffi.

## Choosing your Aspire Fluffi, what to remember

The choice starts from how you vape. For a tight draw, the original Fluffi and its 1 ohm pod give the finest control in a compact body, and the Mini does the same with three levels instead of a screen. The Pro only makes sense for anyone who also wants the Dual Mesh pods and a more direct draw.

Whichever version you pick, an **Aspire Fluffi** is tuned with the airflow first and the wattage second, and its pod is filled with a little patience. The same method applies to every versatile pod device covered on Halo du Soir.
